On July 2, I went to The Massachusetts State House, which is located at Downtown Crossing. In 1713 the seat of the Massachusetts government was the oldest State House at the corner of King(now Washington)and State streets. After the American Revolution, state leaders wanted a larger and more elegant home to better reflect the purposerous new republic, spacious enough to accommodate an expanding government.
Today, the Massachusetts State House was completed on Januaty 11, 1798 and was widely acclaimed as one of the more magnificient and well-situated buildings in the country. Its dome dominated the Boston skyline until the advent of the skyscraper.
I admire Luigi Totino. He was born in Italy, he was the artisan who supervised the mosaic floors in the Hall of Flags.
Though this trip, I learned about the Massachuaetts State House and enjoyed the art collection. I learned a lot and it was fasinating.
