Awesome Harvard University

Last Friday we went to the Harvard University.

Harvard University (officially The President and Fellows of Harvard College) is a private Ivy League university located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Established in 1636 by the colonial Massachusetts legislature, Harvard is the first corporation chartered in the United States and oldest institution of higher learning in the United States. People all around the world know that Harvard is the best university in the world. It was so exciting to stand on the campus of Harvard. Although I am not the student of Harvard, it is still a great thing to feel the atmosphere around it. The only thing I do not think it very good is that we did not go there at the right time, because the all the students were on holiday and the campus were full of tourists. We can not see the real side of the Harvard.

Concert in Thursday

Last thursday, July 22nd 2010, Susie and I went for a concert in Brookline public library. It was an amazing concert-- there were solo piano performance, singing with cello, and other electronic music performance. We appreciated and learnt a new instrument called theremin, interviewed with the theremin player who is a university professor named Bryan and even tried to play the theremin by ourselves.
Playing the theremin is different from other instruments for musicians, player don’t need to contact with this electronic musical instrument in order to control it. Musicians just need to move their hands near the theremin and the music will change with the distance between hands and theremin change. Left hand control the volume and right hand control the pitch. So when we see Bryan performed in the instrument , it looked like he is waving his hands and conducting an orchestra. The voice make my theremin can be very interesting, Bryan even imitated the crying of babies after a baby cried during the concert.
The atmosphere of this concert was very relaxing, full of harmony. From the first person singing like telling a humorous story, to latter asking the audiences title a piece of electronic music, we can found that the musicians use music as a way to express their emotion. Most of the best titles they prized are like description of a scene with fantastic imagination. From the interview with Bryan, we can see that he really found of music. He started learning music from his childhood and chose it as his major when he grow up, he can play many instruments, have wide interest in music field. This couldn’t be done just for career, the sprites and love to higher level of music is really worth learning.

Interview Copy:
Interviewer (I): Where is your inspiration come from in writing that kind of music?
Answer (A): I think it is really just a willingness to make music starting from any sound. Any sounds can be made into music.
I: But I think it is really hard to play other kinds of music, like jazz and blues.
A: Yeah, well you can play jazz or blues on it but it’s very very difficult.
I: It’s very hard to control.
A: Exactly, because there is no physical feedback. You just have to find notes in the air and constantly checking and adjusting. Lots of little corrections all the time.
I: When did you start to write that kind of music, since college?
A: Yeah, since college.
I: When did you learn to, en…I mean when you fell in love with music?
A: Oh, I think when I was just a small child, but when I was 17 I decided to do it professionally. Right, become a professional.
I: Have you learned to play some other kinds of instruments?
A: Yeah. Piano, guitar, clarinets and lots of others, because as a composer, you should know how each instrument work, what does the player have to do.
I: Did you invent that instrument?
A: No.
I: What is that called?
A: Theremin. It was invented in 1920 but this one is a newer design. You don’t see them a lot because they are very difficult to play. There are actually hundreds of videos on Youtube. A lot of people get them. You know people will buy them and enjoy them.
I: Is it expensive?
A: This one is expensive. But you can get a good one for only or less than four hundred dollars.
I: Is it the older the better or you should get a new one when it’s old?
A: It’s electronic, so the age doesn’t affect.
I: Could you please to tell me what is your favorite genre?
A: Eh…That’s a tough one because I like a lot of genres.
I: Okay. Thank you for your time!
A: Oh yeah, and thank you for your interest.

Harvard

This week, we go to a famous university in our world: Harvard University. In my childhood, visit to Harvard is a dream for me. So this Friday, I’m so happy can oneiromancy today.
I went to Harvard by subway. Harvard University, which celebrated its 350th anniversary in 1986, is the oldest institution of higher learning in the United States. Eight presidents of the United States – John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Theodore and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Rutherford B. Hayes, John Fitzgerald Kennedy George W. Bush and Republic of Kenya– were graduates of Harvard. Its faculty has produced more than 40 Nobel laureates.
I remember the library in Harvard. That’s so big. Like this picture. I like this library, because I can feel a liberal feel from library. The Harvard University Library system provides comprehensive access to library holdings across the boundaries of individual faculties and disciplines. The University Library is also a department of the University's central administration through which the libraries collaborate in the areas of digital acquisitions and collections, information technology, high-density storage, and preservation.
The time is too short, so I will come back for Harvard to know more about you: Harvard!

harvard

this week, we went to one of the famous university in Boston, Harvard university.

when i first get in the Harvard, i thought that

it was a high-tech university with full of high buildings and morden falicities, however, Harvard was built as a classical and traditional place. All the buildings and facilities are reserved as it is in 18th century. this picture in the right top can show that how it looks like inside of building, more likely to be thought as a church in the mid-century. probably this old and conventional style is another way to express the heritage for Harvard to be cirital, and autority. like, old things are always admired and respected by people.
In the left top of this page, another building you could see is their engineering building. this is the building that is not decorated as a traditional one, which is quite unique. personally, i like this building since i am a engineering student. i wish that one day i would have classes inside of this building.

Harvard University Trip

Today i went to a University which i dreamed to go to----Harvard University.

I could clearly remember that i ever wanted to seat in Harvard classroom to study. it was the best University in the world.

Harvard University was created by John Harvard. Many great and famous people was gruaduated from here. it can be said that Harvard University improved the world.

The sight of this Univerisity was beautiful and i felt very comfortable to walk in campus. differ from other University, students in Harvard were interested about study and reading. i saw many students read book on the grass. It was a peaceful place to study and nobody would bother you.

Harvard University was like a small world. Many kinds of students living and studying in there. Some students was very unique and full of his own personality that he made some tattoo on his arm and leg. Some students concentrated on study and it seemed that they lived in their own world. i though he or she might be the next Darwin or Edison.

It was hornor to go to Harvard and i wished that one day i could be one of students of this University.

Black heritage trip

Today i went to the Black heritage trip. And i made a presentation about the history of John P. Coburn House.

John P. Coburn clothes dealer and community activist. This building was designed for him hy te famous architect Asher Benjamin.
In 1854 Coburn was the treasurer of the New England FreedomAssociation. This group was founded by Boston African Americanleaders in 1842 as a fugitive slave assistance group.

John Coburn was also a founder of the Massasoit Guards. He was fight with the racial discrimination and tried his best to get rights for African American.
I thougt that this building was not very remarkable but full of significance because a great man had lived here.

By the way, today was too hot to bear but i felt it was extreamely significant to know about the content of those sights. it could be a good way to know the history of America and Boston.
Furthermore, those building carried much more spirits of America people who made great effort for this nation.

Massachusetts State House

Today, i went to the Massachusetts State House which setting of state government for two centuries. it was full of historical significance. The roof of the state house was made by gold and it was very shiny and beautiful when i first looked at it.

Inside of the State House, the style of it was classical. i loved classical style very much and i was shoked by the atomosphere that made me feel serious.

A tour guide made an introduction of this building and many room of it such as senate room and meeting room.

As far as i was concerned, this trip gave a great experience to know and understand the America government and how it work.

It was very indispensable part of my America life because i should know about the America government and the law of America. i believed that it must be helpful for me.

Harvard

We went to Harvard last week. One of my dream place. I love all he things there: all the trees, buildings, people around there, air. Harvard is one of my destination. I love the freedom there, not only for personality but also for the academic environment. Actually, this unversity makes this city-Boston-more special for me.

I want to put on all the pictures I took that day.
but I would not. I tell what, photos are just photos, I will experience all thigngs there one day.

In the very soon future, when you come to Harvard, you may find me, I will tell you that : welcome to this beautiful place, my spirtual home.

Harvard University

Last week we went to Harvard University, I am so exciting about it because as far as I'm concerned, Harvard University is one of best university all over the world. There are so many story and history happened there. After we arrived Harvard, one Harvard student introduced every place we visited, include housing, science hall and some old building. It is so nice to be a Harvard student. unfortunately, we have physical lab afternoon and leave early.

the differences between Chinese food and American food

After I had been to Northeastern University for two months, I start to have some feelings towards Western food.
As to me, during dining hours, usually I eat two pieces of pizza, pork/beef, some breads or cakes, one or two pieces of fish, a bowl of vegetables, and an egg. (the pizza here is fantastic) For drink, I prefer chocolate milk, soy milk, and cherry soda. Generally, I think American food tastes really good and looks much more simple than Chinese food. To my superise, most vegetable here are raw. On the contrary, I almost don't eat any raw vegetable (in Chinese food) before I came here. Besides, most food here are cold whereas most Chinese food should be eaten when it remains warm. A third difference is the dining style and untensils. I am still not used to eatting with a fork and knife.
In addition, American food is an integration of many styles of food which includes some aspects of Chinese food, Mexican food, Indian food, and Western food. Thus I really enjoy it and maybe I will try to learn to cook some of American food in the future.

the trip to the Havard

On the Friday, we went to Harvard University, This is my first time to go to there. Harvard is one of the most famous unversity in america and in the wrold. it has beautiful view and the buildings in the havard are pretty. the environment of the university is very beautiful. the sunshune, the air, thesmall animal, the water pool and so on. those things make up a pretty picture.Harvard University is a private university located in Cambridg, Massachusetts, and a member of the Ivy League. what's more, Harvard University students have many talent in them, like John Hancock, John Quicy Adams, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, George W. Bush...Established in 1636 by the colonial Massachusetts legislature, Harvard is the first corporation chartered in the United States and oldest institution of higher learning in the United States.

Harverd . Haven of students

We went to the Harverd . This is my first time to go that place . as we know harverd is a highest school . all students not only have high score , but also have the unique talent. In fact , I saw many students studied in outside under the tree . and more and more visitor around the Harverd . The majority visitor is that parents took their children with them .

We can found some animals around the school the same as Northestern University . But this also is a problem with my mind . Most animals are afraid people in China,on the contrary , animals like playing around people.

I like all building in Harverd . and I wish that one day I can study in Harverd , So I need study hard and try my best to study .

Tour of Harvard and Harvard Square

At the beginning of this week, I was waiting for the trip on Friday and this feeling last the whole week.

Harvard square, a name tells everyone that this place seems belong to Harvard. Waling along the street, we can saw many shops named “…Harvard”. These are symbols that sightseers can easily be indentified. Harvard is the second university I visited in Boston. Different from Northeastern, Harvard is like a garden, and Northeastern is more modern.
The first stop: The guide told us the history of Harvard.
Second stop: We across the Harvard yard. Such a big yard that many people relax there. They were sitting on the grassland under the shadow of leaves.

Most of buildings in Harvard look old. The vermilion wall was made by bricks and the patterns are seems from hundreds years ago. I didn’t see any glass house on campus, even the building of science. The most interesting thing is that this building looks like stairs, right?

Harvard does really like a sightseeing that each part of it needs to be recorded. For example, the patterns of this door are exquisite. I like the curves on the top most. I am sure this kind of style was from many years ago.

Another one is the law school. This building seems a church. Look at the ceiling and the pendant lamp, they are brilliant.

we can see this design in churches often.

Harvard, one of the most top university in the world, this Friday, I stood at there and felt about it. I didn’t see any pictures of Harvard before and in my mind, it is a big and kind of modern university. Yet, it doesn’t. This is a combination of ancient and modern. When I walked along the path, I felt about its long history. Perhaps because of the summer vacation, there weren’t too many people there. The campus seems bigger. I found that in America, maybe every building is named after a person. This leads people to remember them and when we look at the building we always remind of them.
Although Friday was still too hot to be outside, I like this trip.

On the Friday, we went to Harvard University which is the best university over the world. Every year, a lot of students want to be admitted by Harvard.

When I was a child, I heard a funny thing from my mum. My neiborhood who is older 10 years old than me want to be Harvard student. One day, his teacher asked students, “What is your dream?” My neiborhood boy said, “I want to be Harvard University student.” Because of the Chinese accent, in Chinese, the pronunciation of Harvard is similar with mute. Therefore, the classmates all laugh at him. However, he was the only one to be admitted by Tsinghua University in his class that is the best university in China. When I heard Harvard, I will remember this boy.

I am so happy about visiting Harvard University. There are a lot of red buildings in the Harvard campus. These buildings look like historic and beautiful. This building style let me remember the Beijing University that also has many red historic old buildings. They are great, beautiful and tempting. I want to mention that Obama was graduated from Harvard Law School. Moreover, Harvard University cultivate many talent, for example John Hancock, John Quicy Adams, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, George W. Bush. It proves that Harvard University is good university. Therefore, I should study hard and I wish I can enter the great University.

Visiting of the Harvard.

Today, we our exploring America class had a travel to the Harvard. Harvard is one of the most famous unversity in this wrold. And many students want to go to the Harvard.
Harvard University is a private university located in Cambridg, Massachusetts, and a member of the Ivy League. Established in 1636 by the colonial Massachusetts legislature, Harvard is the first corporation chartered in the United States and oldest institution of higher learning in the United States.
We had a speech from a guide of the Harvard about one hour. She toal us about the history about some important builings of the Harvard.
Not only Harvard is a good Unversity to study, but also is a good place to visit. When we had the speech we found there were many people had a travel in the Harvard. So we find a very interesting phenomenon. In China, the unversity is only the place to have study. And most unversity of China is not very beatiful. However, in America, most Unversity have beutiful scenery. So most Chinese student think study is a trouble. And American students like study.

George Middleton House

We went to George Middleton House this week.
After a long walking, we finally arrival the destination, Middleton House. George Middleton was an early leader in Boston’s African American community and he was a colonel in the Revolutionary War. This house is the oldest extant home on Beacon Hill. Walking along the street, we see a lot of building and i think it is really a good place to living.
Because of the afternoon physic lab, we must leave early, and some of us can not finish the trip.

Friend's birthday

It was my friend’s birthday on Sunday. Because it was her birthday, she could ask us for everything she wanted. Thereby, she forced us to cook a wonderful meal for her by her two lips.

Well, under her tough attitude, there was no way to revolt. We could only do exactly what she said. She appointed me to be the cook of the pork ribs, noodle and dumplings. And one guy cooked the beef. Other two guys were asked to cook a cake!

Fortunately, cooking ribs, noodle and dumplings were just a piece of cake for me. Those two guys cooking the cake was absolutely a tragedy. They spent nearly a hundred dollars to pay for the tools needed in making a cake and some more money were spent on the ingredients of the special cakegreen tea cake, which she did emphasize them to make. So they spent three hours in many big supermarkets. What the most unfortunate thing is I was with them!

Another tragedy was that after they finished cook the cake, in order to keep it warm, we did not take the cake out from the oven. However, we forgot to take it out until we finished dinner and some smoke came out from oven. We rushed to open the oven and found that the cake has been singed.

Feelings Towards These Days In Boston

As time flies, I suddenly relized that I had already been here for more than one month. However, in these days, I haven't feel any culture shock yet. I think maybe that is because I am still study with so many classmates who are from China too as well as the time I stayed in America is still short.

In my eyes, I think Boston is a nice place to live overall. The air smells flresh; water looks clean; food tastes good; and most people are also friendly. However, there do have some unexpected things are taking place in this city, there are some people cheating stranger, some guys beg for and even request money from passerby and if people didn't give them money, they would curse people. That is terrible.

Despite there are negative aspects, I still like this place and enjoy my new life and study in NEU, and walk around the famous places in Boston. I really appreciate the Boston Library and the Museum of Fine Arts. They are fascinating.

Black Heritage Trail

Last Friday, we finished the Black Heritage Trail. This place is near the downtown. We need to visit 10 places. All of these are very great places. A little sadness is that, I didn’t finish all of these places because I have to back to have the physic lab course. So I didn’t visit all the places. And in that Friday, the weather is terrible, so hot. My presentation will introduce the Abiel Smith School. This historic space shows the history of African Americans from slavery through the abolitionist movement. They wanted to make an equality of education.
“The Abiel Smith School was named after a white businessman who left an endowment of $2,000 to the city of Boston for the education of black children.”
“In the first building in the nation built for the sole purpose of serving as a public school for black children. This historic site has been transformed into exhibit galleries and a museum store open to the public Monday through Saturday year around. The site is also available to be rented for meetings and special events.”
I think this place represent African Americans want to get the equal rights for education. They also have the rights to get a better education. Of course, they were success. So this place is very historic and we need to remember this kind of quality.
In this Sunday, the World Cup was finished. Spain won the world championship. They beat Netherlands. My favorite soccer player, the Spanish goal keeper Iker Casillas did a very great job. He stop Arjen Robben’s two minatory shots. Of course, Iker Casillas is No. 1 Goal Keeper in the world.

trip to the Black Heritage Trail

On last friday, we have a trip to the black heritage trail in down town, boston. i want to intruduce the George Middleton House, George Middleton was an early leader in Boston’s African American community and he was a colonel in the Revolutionary War.Middleton and Louis Glapion began constructing a two family residence at 5 Pinckney Street in 1786. Finished in 1787, this building is now the oldest extant home on Beacon Hill. This wood structure is a typical example of late 18th century Boston homes built by African Americans.
Middleton was heavily involved in African American community organizations. He was an early member of the African Lodge, later known as the Prince Hall Masons, and he was the third Grand Master of that group. Middleton married Elsey Marsh on 11 March 1781 at Trinity Church. In 1796 Middleton and others organized the African Society (also known as the Boston African Benevolent Society). As early as 1800, Middleton fought and petitioned for equal school rights for black children. Middleton died in 1815 and was apparently not survived by wife or children. As a leader concerned with education and the needs of his community, George Middleton was among the earliest in a long line of African American activists on Beacon Hill.

Vivian's Black Heritage Trail

Black Heritage Trail is a path along which there are important historical sites recording African American's history around Beacon Hill. On July 9,2010, I went for this trail to explore the unique characteristics of Boston.
As it known to many people, the bad custom of slavery was widely applied in America for long time. Even after the civil war, Blake people still could not get the same tights or positions as white people especially in the south. For example, Blake people and white people are separated in many places--buses, schools, restaurants.
How can blake people get education in that social atmosphere? For blake people in east America, they paid great effort to make their racial stronger. So there is a site worth highlighted in the Black Heritage Trail--Abiel Smith School. It was a public founded in 1835 by a white people named Abiel Smith. Before the school was founded, black children had to study in a basement of African Meeting House. So it provided the children better environment and condition to study. Education is really a good way to effective people.
Look back in history, in every revolutionary action, there must be some people sacrifice their interest to get a higher achievement--the process of society, citizen's better life. Such as all the martyr died in ended the Qing Dynasty and established the People Republic of China, many of them were born in rich family with high social position, but they chose to join revolution. Without their sacrifice, China won't be like the China today, I also cannot get the chance to study here. Thank all these brave people! Their name maybe not shown in history, but history was made up of them. They really worth our admire and honor.

Black Heritage Trail

I was sorry that I missed the trip on Friday, so I visited some of the places on Sunday, especially Smith Court Residences.
The area of lower Joy Street and Smith Court was an important center of Boston’s 19th black community. There are many old buildings and just like a big park.
Actually, there is only 3-10 Smith Court and 3, 5, 7, 4 and 2 Smith Court are private residences and are not open to the public. There must some wonderful things in them but such a pity that I could not get in.
I prefer old buildings and this day I saw a lot. Sometimes it was difficult to distinguish each house from several beautiful ones. If you look at the wall and the color, they are interesting. When you looked at them, it seemed that you could feel about the past.
The Smith must be the best for us to understand the history of African Americans in Boston. Some of the building’s construction is typical for Boston. Every house has its own unique history.
Such a beautiful place that you need to visit.

Black Heritage Trail and impossible things.

On Friday.I went to the free trip with other group in downtown Boston ,because i have physics lab afternoon . i'd never forgot that day also hot .when I came back to lobby I feel I cannot walk anymore. we have meet most old house and some famous building .

Black Heritage Trail

Black Heritage Trail

It is a pity that I did not join the Black Heritage Trail on Friday. I went there on Sunday and learned them. I am interested in Charles Street Meeting House.
This meeting house was built in 1807 by the white Third Baptist Church of Boston. The question arose sometime later as to whether this name was not strictly the property of the African church on Smith Court. The name was consequently changed to Charles Street Baptist Church.
After the Civil War, the black population of Boston increased considerably, and the largest of its churches purchased this building in 1876. The African Methodist Episcopal Church (A.M.E.) remained here until 1939. It was the last black institution to leave Beacon Hill. Today the Charles Street A.M.E. is located on Elm Hill Avenue and Warren Street in Roxbury.
It is not only a old house or street, it is full of history that we can think a lot and learn a lot from that.

Black Heritage Trail

Black Heritage Trail
On Friday, we went to downtown of Boston. We visited many old scenery spots. Today is so hot and I have physical lab in the afternoon, so I got the permission from teacher and got back early. However, the trip is very interesting and it attracts me.

My speech task is to introduce Smith Court Residences. These included five scenery spots. "The historic homes on Smith Court, along with the African Meeting House and the Abiel Smith School, are the best preserved physical locales available for understanding the history of African Americans in Boston." Most are private residences and are not open to the public.

If the weather is more comfortable and I do not have physical lab, I can enjoy the trip and have a good day. Sad.

By the way, I am not happy now because of my computer. Just now, when I finished my Blog and I was going to save the work, my computer crashed. Oh My God. So, i did it again.

Another thing made me crazy about the World Cup. Holland team that is my favorite team lost the game. Sad.

the Black Heritage Trail

It was a sunny in Friday; we visited the Black Heritage Trail nearby downtown again. This time is different from the past many times. I felt a bit of sadness, cause’ I did not finish the whole trip due to having a physical lab at afternoon. However, I have prepared for my presentation that professor arranged one of the assignments. Introducing John J. Smith House is my task. I searched from Internet before the day yesterday. The House has ever belonged to John J. Smith, who was barber, abolitionist and state legislators, from 1878 to 1893. He managed a barbershop during pre-civil war and this place was very important for Boston’s 19th century black community. Meanwhile, the equal schools right movement was going on very seriously, his wife and he also attended this movement and played a very important role. By endeavoring, in the end they won victory, and their daughter became the first person of African descent to teach in Boston’s integrated schools. At that time, John also worked to fight slavery and other injustices. In 1878, He was appointed as the first African American to serve on Boston Common Council. John J. Smith ‘s life, fill with service to his community through business, activism, and politics, end on 4 November 1906. That is all. Whatever the freedom trail or the Black Heritage trail was. Obviously, they evidenced many important events in Boston as a very historical city. All in all,

Exploring American is really meaningful class for a foreigner student to learn Boston history even American history.

the Black Heritage Trip

This friday we have the Black Heritage Trip. And we have some introduction about some building. My introduction is about the Abiel Smith School. So I want to give you some information ahout it.
The Abiel Smith School, located at 46 Joy Street, was constructed between 1834 and 1835. It was built by the City of Boston to house the African School and was one of the earliest buildings designed by architect Richard Upjohn. Starting in 1787, many black Bostonians fought tirelessly against the inequality and discrimination in public schools. At that early date, numerous community members, including Prince Hall, petitioned the state legislature claiming that it was unjust for their taxes to support the education of white children when the city had no school for black children. However, a small number of African American children did attend the city’s white schools in the early 1800s.The weather is so hot, but we learn a lot thought this trip.

the Black Heritage Trip

Yesterday, the university organized an activity called The Black Heritage trip. we visited many place about some celebrities' house. I do a presentation about a famous people, and his name is Lewis Hayden. He was born a slave in 1816 in Lexington, Kentucky. After escaping slavery via the Underground Railroad to Detroit, he moved to Boston with his wife Harriet and soon became a leader in the abolitionist movement. In Boston Hayden's political activities were based in the clothing store he owned on Cambridge Street, and in his home here on Phillips Street.
The house was built in 1833. Hayden moved in as a tenant around 1849. Francis Jackson, treasurer of the Vigilance Committee, a radical abolitionist organization, purchased the house in 1853, possibly to assure that Hayden would not be harassed in his Underground Railroad activities.
I think this activity is so meaningful for students to learn American history. we can understand more imformation and knowledge about those great celebrity.

the Massachusetts State House

last week, we visit to the massachusetts state house, which is an amazing place. when I saw this building, I was very curious becouse of its architectural type. The building's color used yellow and red, it looks like chinese style. when we go into the house, we saw a model house. The guide told us the model of the 1798 State House, or Bulfinch Front, is an accurate representation, lacking only the chimneys and side entrances which were removed in the mid-1880s. the major difference between the model and the building at that time is the color of the dome. Paul Revere& Sons coppered the dome in 1802 to prevent water leakage. Some seventy years later the dome was gilded with 23carat gold leaf for the first time.
the most beautiful place is the Legislative Branch. The legislature was established in 1644. It has two branches the 40 member Senate and the 160 member house of representatives. All Massachusetts citizens have the right of free petition and may have bills introduced by a legislator. Bills receive a public hearing and a committee recommendation.
It was a very meaningful day.

The Massachusetts State House

The first and the most important thing is that, LeBorn James said he will join Miami Heat!!! Oh my God, Leborn James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. The new big 3!!! I think in the next season, Boston Celtics will have a very hard work to win the NBA champion. Of course, Boston Celtics Big 3 V.S. Miami Heat Big 3 is very wonderful and fantastic. Let’s hope will have a very great Playoffs in 2011.
Last Friday, we visited to the Massachusetts State House. It is a very great and historical place. Everything is wonderful to remember. First of all, the guide of our group is very good. He introduced all the important things for us. Let me know many specific things about every exhibition. Even though a lot of the words I didn’t understand clearly. The first place is Doric hall, there is a big bronze in this place, and also have eight peristalses. The next important place is Nurses Hall. Probably this place is about a famous nurse. Unluckily, I didn’t know this place a lot. Then, we visited the Memorial Hall, the Great Hall, and the Main Staircase Window.
Ok, after these places, I just want to talk the part which is interested. First one is House of Representatives. It is the first time to visit this kind of place. A little thing is that, I think the House of Representatives is smaller than what I imagined. The second one is Senate Reception Room. This is a place for senators to discuss. Next one is the Senate Chamber, and this place is the meeting house for the senator. We all know that, the House of Representatives and the Senate are very important for American Policy. So I am honor to visit these places.

trip in independence day

Today's weather was pretty amazing. It was like the cloud was burning on the fire. it presented a very beautiful color.
In the night, the firework was fantastic. i could feel every American patriotism. Although, we waited the firework for a long time. But i thought it was worthy to wait for it because it was so wonderful. Here was some picture of it

the most impressed firework were the shape of heart and the galaxy.
Besides, i was surprised by the number of people who participated this "big party", it was the time that i saw the largest number of people in boston and as far as i was concerned, this atmosphere was warm and pretty good.
