A visit to the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston

Last Friday afternoon we visited the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. And a staff member gave us a speach to introduce the Federal Reserve Bank.

It is near Chinatown, and we went to their by subway. When we went into the building, I was supriesed that the lobby was so big. And we must go through a security check before we went in.
The staff member took us to a underground room.

Firstly, he showed us a video which had a breif introduction of the Federal Reserve Bank. The bank was establishen in Washington, D. C. in 1913. It is the central bank of the USA; however, to my suprise, it is a totally private bank. In the USA, there are twelve regional Federal Reserve Banks, located in major cities throughoutthe nation.

I learned lots of that afternoon, I hope we could have more trips like this.
